A microprocessor vacuum gauge device was developed to ensure the inclusion of PMI-2 ionization transducer in thermal resistance manometer mode, in which the cathode incandescence decay is recorded after the lowered (1 V) voltage is turned on and the integral value of filament heating energy is determined during the transient process (2 s). Operating capacity of the prototype device was experimentally confirmed to be in the range of (10-3 – 760) Torr with linear scale and relative error of about ± 25%.
Key words: ionization pressure transducer, thermal resistance manometer, filament heating current, gas thermal conductivity.
