Influence of nanocarbon soot at cathode working surfaces on pumping current, pumping energy and laser energy per pulse of TEA-CO2 laser at excitation of volume discharge in СО2-laser mixtures is investigated. Carbon soot at cathode working surfaces in TEA-CO2 laser forwards to increase up to 1,2-1,5 times of pumping current and pumping energy and contributes to forming stable volume discharge in СО2-laser mixtures without helium with any interrelations between СО2 and N2 components. The main aim of this work is investigation of influence carbon soot at cathode working surfaces on electrical and energetic parameters of volume discharge and laser radiation pulse parameters of TEA-CO2 laser.

Key words: carbon soot, cathode working surfaces, volume discharge, TEA–CO2 laser, autoelectron emission, current density, laser energy per pulse.
