The problem of constructing a radar image of complex target using ultra-wideband signals is considered. The most famous algorithms that perform this task are listed. The aim of the work is to develop a new effective algorithm for processing radio signals. An adaptive approximation algorithm to obtain target radar image is proposed. The developed algorithm is compared with previously known solutions in accordance with two efficiency criteria - the minimum of average brightness error and the minimum of relative change in average contrast. The advantages of the algorithm proposed for radar image processing in the presence of noise are proved.
Key words: ultra-wideband signal, radar image, Doppler algorithm, back-projection algorithm in frequency domain, maximum correlation algorithm, adaptive approximation algorithm.
