The study was conducted on electron-optical scheme of a microfocus X-ray tube of shot-type with elec tromagnetic focusing, consisting of three sequentially placed magnetic lenses. To evaluate the results, the calculations were performed using matrix method, one of the most effective methods for analyzing and syn thesizing electron-optical systems. The aim of the work is to study and determine the operating modes of lenses that provide a micron diameter of the focal spot of electron flux at tube anode in the mode of full cur rent flow at accelerating potential of 100 kV.
Key words: : X-ray tube, electromagnetic focusing, matrix method, magnetic lens, electron optics.
