The catalytic properties of gaseous ammonia in reactions of CO2 molecule reduction from dissociation
products in the active media of sealed-off TEA-CO2 lasers were established. Optimal ammonia partial pressure
ensuring the highest rate of carbon dioxide molecule regeneration was determined. In compact TEACO2
laser operating at pulse repetition rate of 25 Hz, lifetime resource was increased from 10 hours to 120
hours.
Key words: TEA-CO2 laser, plasma-chemical reactions, molecular dissociation, secondary compounds,
gas catalysts, regeneration of working mixtures
