The task building special equipment set forming process model for a technical system using multi criteria optimization methods is considered. The aim of the article is to develop special equipment set mod el for technical system which will serve as the basis for implementing a decision support system to find a rational solution using multi-criteria optimization methods. An optimization model of the special equipment set forming process for a technical system is proposed. The main criteria for multi-criteria optimization are de fined. Based on these criteria target functions are formulated and constraints on the model are set. Rational methods of multi-criteria optimization are selected. A distinctive feature of the obtained results is the use of universal criterion being the primary one to select the rational composition of a specialized set of technical equipment that enables successful multi-criteria data optimization in decision support systems. The practical significance of the study lies in the applicability of the proposed model to construct a decision support sys tem for various fields of knowledge, particularly engineering one. The novelty of the work lies in the automa tion of decision-making process using multi-criteria optimization methods.
