ANALYTICAL CALCULATION OF X-RAY SPECTRUM RADIATION BY MICROFOCUS X-RAY TUBE WITH «HEAT PIPE» ANODE

This paper solves the problem of analytic calculation of bremsstrahlung X-ray spectrum of a microfocus X-ray tube of propellant type with «Heat Pipe» anode. The aim of the work is to determine spectral intensity I() of X-ray radiation depending on the material and thickness of a coolant layer in the anode under consideration. An expression was obtained for spectral intensity of bremsstrahlung X-ray radiation, which establishes a relationship with radiation power and shows the influence of atomic number of target material, current and voltage of X-ray tube on the character of generated spectrum. Using the Bouguer-Lambert law, it was found that for the wavelength range of 0,1–10 Å with the radiation power of 0,74 W, a heat pipe anode with a Li coolant and Be output window reduces spectral intensity of the radiation in long-wave region of the spectrum 6–10 Å at 0,1 – 0,14 W, depending mainly on the thickness of Be window.
